Kern River Visit!

Eric's extended family has a cabin on the river. We go up there every summer. This was the first time Shane went in the river. He really enjoyed it! This was his 3rd Kern trip and Julia's first. We only stayed a day and a night (used to stay longer, but with 2 little ones, not so easy lol), but it was fun & peaceful. SO peaceful that it never feels like enough once we are home & back into the daily hussle.

Our friends came to visit....

Our friends Anthony & Julie came to visit us on Monday. They used to live here in Southern CA but moved to Washington. You really can mark how fast time flies by how big the kids grow between visits. It's crazy! Here is Shane with Charlotte... and Charlotte with Julia. What a beautiful little girl she is! Cool personality, too. (Their son Connor was fast asleep on our couch, totally wiped out after swimming all afternoon. But before he fell asleep, he was running around and playing with Shane. Shane loved hanging with him and wouldn't stop giving hugs!)

He holds the guitar correctly, strums, and even pretends to play notes and chords! As soon as he displays a 'real' interest & gets a bit bigger, we will buy him a good guitar. This one is just for play, the strings are hanging off, actually 2 are missing..... and most of the time he can be found standing on the thing. Anyway! Check him out! :)
