Shane's First Birthday!!!!

We had a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse themed bday party for Shane, at his G&G's house. The crowded house was a bit much for him, he wasn't his usual smiley self, but he didn't cry once. Not even when the birthday song was sung! He LOVED his cake (homemade, of course) made a good mess, bounced in the bouncer with his daddy, got lots of awesome presents from his loved ones here AND from back east, got lots of loot!, and most importantly, was surrounded by smiles and love, from both here and afar. :)
I just can't believe my son-shine is ONE! The time went fast, in parts. others, like when I'm sleep-deprived... now, that's another story.

Aunt Sharon, Autumn, and Aubrey's first visit with Shane!!

My best friend Sharon came from PA with her two girls, Autumn and Aubrey, to stay with us for just under a week. We had SO much fun, here are some pics.... :)

First 4th of July!!

We had a great day, swimming, eating good food - though Shane wasn't too thrilled with the fireworks. Next year he'll dig them more, I'm sure! :)

Our Second Trip with Shane to Kern River...

We go there every year to spend a night or two at the family cabin, right on the river. Its a lot of fun and very relaxing. This time, Shane was able to crawl around, get into things, look at the river, interact more. (last year, he was only 6 weeks old when we were there)
