Our First HAPPY Santa Visit!

Shane was SO excited to go see Santa this year and Julia was cute & calm. (Though when she looked up at him, she was like "who the HELL is THIS & why am I sitting with him.". As you can see in the 2nd pic.) Shane kept saying "Santa! Ho, ho, ho!" and "Race CAR". He brought one with him to show Santa. I could just melt. What FUN it is this year! I mean, its always been fun.... but watching and living it through your children is AWESOME. A whole other ballgame. TOTALLY loving it. :)
xo, Star
(p.s. i'd be lying if i said i wasn't SORTA hoping for a mini freak-out from one or both of them. lol those pictures of screaming kids on santas lap crack me up every time. Judi - i KNOW you agree!) These pics are precious though and it was SO easy. No line, no fuss, no rush.

Fuzzy Bunny Slippers

They make the cutest things for little girls! (these were a shower gift)
Julia just wanted to pull them off, but I was able to snap a few pics. Reminded me of A Christmas Story - which we'll be watching constantly starting next month!
Christmas is almost here, can't believe it! And can't WAIT! I think Shane is really gonna LOVE it this year. (though, we'll see how he likes the Santa visit, lol!)

Here is Shane in a Penguins jersey that his Uncle Colson got for him.
Yeah, he's definitely got PA roots in there!
(now, hopefully the Eagles will do well this season and he can wear his Eagles shirt with pride!)

Our Halloween

It was great that Halloween finally fell on a Saturday. We really had a nice day. We went out to IHOP for some breakfast in the a.m. BOTH kids sat quietly and nicely, I actually ate my breakfast while it was hot and didn't have to eat at warp speed like a wolverine. Julia slept almost the whole time and when she woke up, she looked around & smiled. Didn't immediately wail in protest of being in her infant carrier - which was reallllly nice! Then we went to Lombardi Ranch to pick out a pumpkin. We ended up with one large pumpkin and two small ones as Eric had an idea to do a Mickey Mouse pumpkin this year. Our love for Disney is out of control, I know. lol When we got home and Eric started the pumpkin carving process, Shane was VERY curious and interested. He stayed at the kitchen table and watched from beginning to end. He even chimed in a few times, almost as if he was telling Eric what to do next. He was excited when he saw that it was Mickey. :) He said 'Mickey Pumpkin' a couple of times which was SO cute. Eric placed the pumpkin outside and Shane wanted to keep going out to see it. Before it got dark, we changed the kids into their costumes. Shane was a very cool Mr. Incredible and Julia was an adorable little bumble bee. She didn't mind the costume, oddly enough, and stayed in it for over an hour. Probably a record for a 6 month old. lol A few times, she had a look on her face like "And WHY exactly am I dressed like an insect - I don't have teeth and everyone else is eating my candy." Shane was partly excited, partly hesitant. He wasn't sure why we were going to people's doors, seemingly begging for something to eat. Nah - really,.... he was into it, had fun, and got TOO much candy. (is there such a thing?) Shane and Julia both got some very cool gifts from Grandma and Grandpa. We hung out there for a while then headed home. We had a great Halloween. :)

My Mom's Visit and random pics of the kids!

My mom was here for 13 days, just left yesterday. :(
We had a GREAT time. The peanuts adored her. :) Which, by the way, they are just growing before our eyes. Its like one lady said to me last week "blink and they're 18." Wellll.... I dont know about THAT. But... it is going by pretty quickly. Julia will be 6 months old on the 14th! Yikes!

(in case you've noticed.... NO, I'm not taking less pics of Shane and more of Julia.... its the fact that Shane either runs from the camera or turns his head (or looks down) on PURPOSE! The little STINKER! lol)

Julia's 5 month pictures :)

(first professional pics by herself) :)
Sorry about the copyright watermark on the pics, I downloaded them straight from Picture People's website....but I figured seeing them this way is better then nothing! Soooooo adorable!

(I'll post new pics of Shane asap. He was *supposed* to be in a few pics with Julia and have some solo shots, BUT.... he has apparently boycotted getting his pic taken professionally. He cried, screamed bloody murder and ran towards the exit. He is SO TWO! lol. AND I really wish Eric had been with us on Saturday, so we could have gotten some Julia and Daddy shots..... she is his CLONE, I swear... and I hear it constantly!) :) NOT a complaint. I LOVE it! xo
