Family is Everything :)

My sister January, her bf Bill and my niece Savanna came to visit us this past week. They just left today :( boooooo! SO sad to see them go, but we had a great time. I'll write & post more when I can, but wanted to throw a few pics of the kids on here real quick. (we took the adorable first cousins to get their pics taken together- did it last year too - so we started a tradition, that i hope is a yearly one)

New pics! (I'll post more soon)

Julia is 8 weeks today. Just a peanut, I know.... but I can't believe she is 8 weeks. Her 2 month check up is coming up on Monday, I am SO dreading it already. Poor chicky has to get her first shots. Well, her first shots with me being in the room. I HATE this part of motherhood! Your heart just breaks when they let out that sudden shocked scream/cry when the needle goes in.

What can ya do, right? :)

And Shane.... poor Shane just fell and has a fat lip. He was dancing to the beginning intro to 'Family Guy' (we don't let him watch it, just the music in the beginning,lol) He was SO happy, shaking his lil butt, dancing away.... then he slips and hits his face on the hardwood floor. POOR guy! :( Felt SO bad. Oh, the perils of childhood! lol

Shane's First Haircut AND First 'big' boy bath!

Two big firsts today! We really thought Shane was going to have NOTHING to do with getting his hair cut - BUT - he was totally fine with it and was even excited when Eric had to trim more off. It was too cute!!

Also, we bought him some new bath toys and told him he could only play with them if he took a bath in the big tub like a big boy. (we were still bathing him in the newborn-to-toddler tub inside the tub.... because when we tried to do just the big tub months ago, he cried & FREAKED, fought his way out, and that was that.) We didn't force the issue at the time. Not an issue anymore! When Eric first put Shane in the tub, he whined a little and tried escaping, but after the toys were tossed in the tub with him - he was fine.

And of course.... I had to attach a couple of pics of Julia, being her ADORABLE little self. She is going to be 7 weeks on Tuesday - can't believe it! It's crazy how they grow right before your eyes, she is over 10 pounds already. She is starting to give us little smiles here and there, which makes our hearts just melt. :)
