Shane and his brand new buddy Jacob!

Our friends, Frank and Raquel, had a baby boy that they named Jacob on 8-27-07. We visited them this past Friday and Shane liked his new friend. This is their very first buddy picture! (Can't really tell in this picture, but Shane is so much bigger then Jacob.... it kinda freaked me out in regards to the constant mantra that i've been hearing from everyone 'enjoy every moment, it goes so fast'.... i got my first little taste of that realization that day for sure!) Doesn't Jacob's hair rock?! Funny thing....Shane does this karate chop move all the time with his fist and came close to getting Jacob in the face, when right at the nick of time, Jacob put his arm up, blocking the would-be hit. Total coincidence, but so funny. 100% Boys!

Shane's first trip to the family cabin on Kern River!

We went to Kernville on Sunday and stayed overnight with Eric's parents and Aunt Mary. It was peaceful, as usual. The river was very low, but that is typical for this time of year and especially since we've had basically no rain here in CA for months. I would like to say that Shane loved it, but he is only 6 weeks old, so he digs anywhere we go, as long as Mommy and Daddy are within sight range. He did seem to "talk" and smile a LOT - which is pretty much the cutest thing I've ever seen in my life.

My Aunt Pam (from back east) was out here on business so we made plans for her to come see Shane! When she rang the doorbell, she had two surprises along with her..... my gorgeous cousins Rachel & Frankee! I was SOOOO happy to see them! Frankee really enjoyed holding her little cousin. We had an awesome visit and they all just loved Shane. :)

Shane is cooing and making such cute noises now.... tryin to talk. :) He moves his arms and legs like he can't wait to get movin..... Well, not in these pictures, LOL... Here he is just chillin' & looking adorable at it.
